## Why it exists

Ask your AI for the best hotel in Chicago. You'll get everyone's best. Not yours: the one ten minutes from Tuesday's meetings, with the quiet rooms you always ask for.

AI has read the whole map. It has never seen yours. The places you save, rate, return to and avoid are what make a recommendation right. Pin Drop keeps them.

## How a hotel search works

Claude finds the hotels and asks Pin Drop to rank them.

What the AI is given:

- The hotels it found, put in order
- A reason for each one, about the place
- A check against the company's nightly limit

What stays with Pin Drop:

- Your home, office and family pins
- Food, access and sleep needs
- Past trips and places you rated
- Everything you've told Pin Drop

## Explain the place, never the person

When Pin Drop explains a pick, it describes the place, not you. Your AI can pass the reasons on to anyone without revealing anything personal.

- **Your record never leaves.** Your AI gets rankings, reasons and suggestions. Never your profile.
- **Sensitive details are off by default.** Health, mobility and diet are only used where you switch them on, one service at a time.
- **You can see every request.** Which AI asked, what it asked for and what informed the answer.
- **Switch it off in one tap.** Disconnect any AI from Pin Drop. It stops getting answers straight away.

## Set up

1. **Add Pin Drop to your AI.** Add the Pin Drop connector in Claude, ChatGPT or another assistant. It takes a minute.
2. **Sign in once.** The first time it's needed, your AI asks you to sign in to Pin Drop. You choose what it can use.
3. **Ask as you normally would.** Ask for a hotel, a flat or somewhere to eat. Your AI checks with Pin Drop and explains each pick in a line.

AIs that read instruction files can use https://pindrop.md/pindrop.md, a short plain text file that tells them when to ask Pin Drop. Nothing personal in it.

## Questions

**What does it cost?** Early access is free. We'll share pricing well before it ends. You'll never be charged without agreeing to it first.

**Do I need a Pin Drop account?** Yes. What Pin Drop knows about you lives in your account, next to your map. A few quick questions get you started. You can see and correct everything it holds.

**Which AI does it work with?** Claude, ChatGPT and any assistant that supports connectors or MCP. The connector is the most reliable way in. AIs that read instruction files can use pindrop.md instead.

**Does Pin Drop really make phone calls?** Yes, when a place can't be booked online. Pin Drop's assistant always says it's an AI calling on your behalf. It shares only what the booking needs.

**Where does it work?** Anywhere you can drop a pin. Place facts are deepest in the US and UK today. More countries are coming.

**Can my company use it?** Yes. Travel policy, approvals and relocation budgets all work with the same ranking. Your employer sees spend and progress. They never see your profile or your family's needs.
